In partnership with the Virginia Department of Education and VATFACS, AAFCS is pleased to offer the Broad Field FCS assessment for educators in Virginia who are seeking initial licensure or who need to meet certification requirements to offer verified credit to their students.
For 2022-2023, Virginia teachers or candidates are eligible to sit for the AAFCS Broad Field FCS assessment/certification through remote (online-LIVE) proctor administration. Once registered and authorized for assessment administration, the test candidate will be able to schedule a testing date and time (2 hour block) through the online portal.
The test is administered online by a LIVE representative of Examity proctoring service (specific test candidate technology equipment is required). Candidates should note that if they miss their scheduled appointment, they do forfeit their testing fee and would be required to pay another testing fee to secure another registration/administration opportunity.
This remote proctor administration is ONLY available for the state of Virginia. The cost for this remote administration is $65 per candidate. Registration fees are payable by credit card only and are non-refundable. Upon registration, candidates will receive an email confirming registration and fee payment. Within 3-5 business days, candidates will receive an email with details regarding scheduling and technology requirements.
